Sand-coated GRP-gratings have slip resistance at the same level as standard GRP-gratings.
It is a common misconception that sand-coated GRP-gratings are required if you want a slip-resistant GRP-grating.

Sand-coated GRP-gratings cost more than standard GRP-gratings.
Therefore, they are only used where necessary, for example in swimming pools, on bathing jetties, or in other areas where people walk barefoot.
